Hi all

My name is Mark Grainger and I am a Royal Mencap Society Community Development Officer in London.

As part of the TSP all local authorities were asked to complete a self-assessment questionnaire to check how well they are currently supporting young people in transition. This was due to be completed by 31st January 2009.

Mencap is asking their members and affiliated local groups if they have been involved in any consultations which have supported this process. Mencap wants the ensure children and young people with a learning disability and their carers needs and views are included in the process.

It would be much appreciated if you could contact me if you know of any work in your local authority which has included children and young people with a learning disability, their carers or services for people with a learning disability.
